  2. files with the current date, while keeping
  3. the first two characters of the file name.
  4. This is handy for creating archives of files
  5. that have the same name, but need to be
  6. accessed at a later date. Example: A file
  7. named ALLFILES.LOG would become AL042396.LOG.
  8. This is a DOS program that can be run from
  9. the command line in a batch file or event.
